Project Engineer

Reporting to the Manager EDS, as the Project Engineer you will offer technical support during assigned capital, refurbishment and level 3 maintenance projects by minimizing risks aimed at improving performance and ensuring safe, efficient and timely delivery of project in line with capital plan requirements.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

• Compiling, developing and assisting with all electrical project design, planning, scope and approval toward supporting Execution section operations.
• Initiating procurement of goods and services for projects.
• Organising and providing technical assistance during project / project development.
• Communicating progress and exceptions to clients and Project Administration section.
• Chairing project meetings and align clients and management requirements.
• Assisting, supporting and liaising with clients and contracting companies to obtain cooperation and final approval.
• Maintaining and improving safety, health and environmental standards and practices.
• Performing fair and reasonable tasks related to the job and working environment, at the discretion of your Leader.

To be successful for this role, you will have attained a minimum of a degree in Electrical Engineering with Government Certificate of Competency (GCC) supported by 5 years technical knowledge of HV, MV & LV systems plant maintenance and 3 years multi discipline project management in mining or heavy industry. Attainment of GCC Mines and Works, Project Management qualification and Registration as Pr Tech/Pr Eng with ECSA will be advantageous. Your high level of accuracy, attention to detail and electrical technical expertise will see you succeed in this role.
