Project Manager – Transportation : Rockville, Maryland, USA

Background and Qualifications:

SHELADIA Associates is a multi-disciplinary international professional consulting firm with demonstrated experience in the successful management and implementation of development projects throughout the world. SHELADIA works in over 70 countries throughout Asia, Africa, and the Americas. We are currently seeking an individual that is results-oriented, able to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines and be a self-starter for the position of Project Manager – Transportation.

 Must have Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering  Must have Minimum of 15-years professional experience, utilizing knowledge on key aspects of Roads, Highways, and Bridges  A combination of experience in both developed and developing countries is required. The candidate should have long-term oversees professional experience on international transportation projects  Must have experience implementing projects overseas, including backstopping and project management  Must be experienced in managing multiple concurrent engineering projects  Hands on experience is required in the management of field teams including technical, administrative, contractual, business development and client relations  Must have experience implementing projects financed by one or more external financiers (ADB, JBIC, World Bank, USAID or other bilateral/multilateral funding agencies) is required  Must have knowledge and experience with FIDIC conditions of contract  Experience in writing successful proposals is required  Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project, Outlook)  Must have proven experience multi-tasking, prioritizing, and providing administrative support to management staff  Must Speak/Read/Write English fluently. The ability to Speak/Read/Write foreign language(s) in addition to English is desirable  Must be eligible for employment in the USA  Professional Registration is preferred

This position will require some international travel.
