Service Delivery Senior Advisor Cardno Emerging Markets, USA

Cardno Emerging Markets USA, Ltd. (Cardno) is seeking candidates for a Service Delivery Senior Advisorposition for an upcoming USAID-funded health project in Uganda. 

The Service Delivery Senior Advisor will be responsible for coordinating and supporting project activities in the areas of clinical services, including HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis (TB), malaria, reproductive health and family planning (RH/FP), and maternal and child health (MCH). The Advisor will work closely with stakeholders in the public and private sectors in the planning and implementation of service delivery interventions in project sites, providing both management support and clinical guidance. Sh/he will work with other implementing partners in Uganda to develop and scale up sustainable models of service delivery, and improve standards of care through training and continuing medical education.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum seven years of experience as a senior expert in training and capacity building in the Ugandan health sector. Preference for experience in the areas of HIV/AIDS, TB, malaria, FP/RH, and/or MCH. Familiarity with PEPFAR programs highly desirable.

• Clinical degree and/or Master’s-level degree in a health-related area  

• Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with Ugandan public health officials,  policy makers, and a broad array of health service providers and community leaders in the public and private sectors

• Strong communication and presentation skills
