Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Specialist : Rockville, Maryland, USA


Background:
SHELADIA Associates is a multi-disciplinary international professional consulting firm with demonstrated experience in the successful management and implementation of development projects throughout the world. The position requires a high degree of analytical thinking and interpretation of data to deduce solutions for decision making. It also requires an integrated and multidisciplinary approach to programming.
Qualifications: • Minimum of Master’s degree with 10 years of experience in Social Sciences, or other relevant degree from a recognized university • Must have a Minimum of 8 years practical work experience specifically in monitoring & evaluation • Must have demonstrated experience in quantitative and qualitative research/survey methodology • Must have a combination of experience in both developed and developing countries, including familiarity with logframes and performance monitoring plans; Professional experience in Africa or Asia, in addition to the US is preferred • Must have strong analytical and writing skills; experience with STATA or SPSS is preferred • Must have experience in program design and management across a range of international topics • Must have working knowledge of development programming, processes, systems and principles, and the ability to provide leadership and support to staff working at various levels • Must have demonstrated experience providing capacity building to M&E staff and counterpart organizations. • Must have experience in designing and putting in place monitoring systems and tools for effective management of outcomes and results • Must have minimum of 5-years’ experience implementing projects financed by USAID, in addition to one or more external funding agencies (ADB, JBIC, World Bank, or other bilateral/multilateral funding agencies) • Must have excellent facilitation and presentation skills paired with good interpersonal abilities • Must have exceptional writing and public presentation skills in English; The ability to Speak/Read/Write foreign language(s) in addition to English is desirable • Must be authorized to work in the United States and able to travel abroad
