Save the Children UK Policy and Advocacy Adviser (Hunger)


Save the Children is the world’s leading independent child rights organisation. The Policy and Advocacy Division leads the development and implementation of advocacy strategies to achieve policy and political change at the highest level; leading and managing Save the Children’s advocacy engagement with the UK government, international institutions and the private sector; providing policy intelligence to the wider organisation; and forging advocacy alliances with key opinion makers in the UK and globally. We are recruiting for a Policy and Advocacy Adviser (Hunger) to join our dynamic team.
This role offers the opportunity to lead Save the Children’s advocacy engagement on one of the largest ever campaigns against hunger and malnutrition, pushing fundamental changes in the way the world’s food system is managed. The post-holder will have extensive advocacy experience and a track record of influencing successfully, experience of policy research, proven experience of working effectively in or leading coalitions/networks of civil society organisation and superior verbal and written communication skills. S/he will also have a good understanding of the external advocacy environment and the ability to assess trend and developments likely to affect advocacy.
