• JOB CONTEXT:
You will report to the Desk Officer for South Asia and will work in collaboration with the Desk's administrative assistant. You will also work remotely with the Coordinators, Project managers and Programme Directors based in the field.
• JOB DESCRIPTION:
Challenges and objectives:
Guarantee that programme teams adhere to the project management cycle (planning-monitoring-evaluation).
Help define the Desk's strategy and, more specifically, its annual action plans.
Support the development of new projects for the Desk.
Be involved in managing the programmes' human resources.
Ensure the Desk plays its part in the dynamics of the association.
Contribute towards establishing strategic priorities for the programmes and the regions.
Carry out additional cross-sector tasks according to the workload on the desk.
• CANDIDATE'S PROFILE:
5 years' higher education in the field of International Relations, Political Sciences and/or the management of humanitarian aid projects. At least 5 years' experience of implementing and supervising development projects abroad, including project engineering aspects.
Experience of working with multi-cultural teams preferred. Competence in project management methodology essential (PME, etc.) Analytical and organisational capacities Writing and interpersonal skills Good reaction capacity and persuasive skills Advocacy skills required
• WORKING LANGUAGE(S): Fluent English essential
• SPECIFIC CHARACTERISTICS OF THIS POST:
The post involves frequent trips to all the desk's field programmes (6 to 8 field visits per year)
• REMUNERATION PACKAGE:
Between €2250 and 2450 gross per month depending on profile + compulsory family complementary health cover (60% employer contribution) + Luncheon vouchers + 22.5 days of lieu hours
