Kimberley Underground Mines JV

Kimberley Underground Mines JV is situated in the town of Kimberley in the Northern Cape. The Mine consists of 3 conventional slushier drift block cave mines.

Crane Driver

Applications are invited from suitably qualified applicants who will be required to perform duties including standby duties, as a mobile Crane Driver at the mine.

Tasks and responsibilities: • Lift and move heavy equipment • Offload goods delivered • Assist with SHEQ initiatives in section • Operate mobile cranes and other TMM as and when required • Ensure that crane is parked safe before operation starts • Ensure that crane
is level • Be available for standby.

Minimum requirements: • Grade 10 • 50-ton Truck Mounted licence • 25-ton Pick and Carry licence • 2 years’ crane operating experience • Valid driver’s licence (Code EC).

Other skills/competencies: • Basic Rigging course • Good communication skills • Understanding of hand signals.
