Derivatives Analyst Casual position (One-year contract)

A position is currently open for a:

Reporting to the Director, SRO Oversight, the successful candidate will act as a resource person in derivatives. The incumbent will help analyze draft amendments to constituting documents, internal by-laws and operating rules of exchanges, alternative trading systems, clearing houses and self-regulatory organizations (regulated entities), inspect regulated entities and perform special mandates such as developing regulatory projects, reviewing applications for recognition to operate in Quebec, analyzing reports, examining complaints and following up on information requests. The incumbent will serve on working groups or committees, and will conduct derivatives training. He/she will work actively with staff at regulated entities, in other AMF units and at other regulatory bodies.

Qualifications:

  • B.A. in accounting, finance, economics, law or any other field pertinent to the position.
    AND
  • At least five years experience in derivatives;
  • Experience at an exchange, clearing house, SRO (self-regulatory organization) is an asset;
  • Sound knowledge of computer-based tools;
  • Fluent in English and French (oral and written);
