Program Manager - Infrastructure

About the role

We are looking for a Program Manager - Infrastructure to establish and implement the building construction program in Vanuatu which includes Aid Posts, Kindergartens and Youth Drop in centres. This position is a 6 month contract which aims to build the capacity of a local counterpart in line with organizational objectives.

This position is open to both international and local applications. Remuneration for local hires will be negotiated based on skills and experienced in line with local wages. International applicants will be entitled to a return airfare and an accommodation allowance for the duration of the contract in addition to the salary.

You will have

• Extensive construction management experience including programming activities, budgeting and financial control • Strong knowledge of building technology i.e. carpentry, concrete handling, block making etc • Highly developed communication and collaboration skills. • Demonstrated ability and commitment to mobilize community capacity • Demonstrated ability in training facilitation and public speaking. • Strong time management and organisational skills. • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. • High levels of attention to detail and quality. • Flexibility and the willingness to travel when required.
