The annual Education for All Global Monitoring Report (GMR) is the world’s foremost publication on education. It monitors progress towards the Education for All (EFA) goals agreed at the World Education Forum in Dakar in 2000, identifi es promising education policies and reforms to help achieve EFA, and reports on the extent to which the international community is meeting its commitments. Each issue also focuses on one major theme.

The following position has become available in an international, highly interactive team, based in UNESCO, Paris (France).

Senior Policy Analyst, P5

Duties: The Senior Policy Analyst will: contribute to the overall development of the GMR. Develop innovative ideas and methodologies for the thematic part. Undertake relevant statistical and analytic work. Draft chapters of the Report. Directly manage team members and provide research supervision. Commission external researchers in agreed areas. Support editing of the
final Report. Represent the GMR in public events.

Profile: Minimum of 10 years experience of research on international education and a proven track-record of publications. Academic qualifications should preferably include a PhD in education, economics, politics, development studies or another social science discipline. General understanding of public policy issues in education. Ability to write for specialist and non-specialist audiences in English.
