Technical Officer -PMTCT
Christian Social Services Commission (CSSC) is an Umbrella organization jointly established by Tanzania Episcopal Conference (TEC) and Christian Council of Tanzania (CCT) as an ecumenical body since 1992. The Commission supports Church Institutions in delivering quality social (Health and Education) services to people in need regardless of colour, race or creed. It also promotes expansion of health, education and other social services in Tanzania.
Background
CSSC is the main Technical partners of Deloitte Consulting Limited in the implementation of TUNAJALI " program. As technical partner, CSSC is mainly
responsible for the implementation and achievements of Result 4 which in focuses on improving access to quality, integrated and comprehensive HIV care and treatment services in Morogoro, Dodoma, Sing ida, Iringa and Njombe regions; and in collaboration with Deloitte and other sub-partners contribute and support achievements of the other results.
TUANAJALI " is a five years (2012 to 2017) PEPFAR funded program through USAID. The program areas supported include: Adult, Adolescent and Pediatric HIV Care and Treatment, PMTCT, CHBC, TB/HIV Collaborative management, Maternal, Neonatal and Child Health (MNCH), Cervical Cancer Prevention (CECAP) and Laboratory and Pharmacy strengthening.
Job Title: Technical Officer -PMTCT
Reporting to: Senior Technical Officer-PMTCT
Duty Station: Singida
Contract Period: 1 year renewable
Key Qualifications;
Holder of a Medical Degree from a recognized university
Experience in the areas of child health or pediatric ART, PMTCT including postnatal care is an added advantage.
General Description;
The Technical Officer-PMTCT will provide support to the program and the Regional Technical Coordinator to oversee Prevention 'of Mother to Child Transmission of HIV (PMTCT), Early Infant Diagnosis (EID),
Maternal Newborn and Child Health (MNCH) and CECAP interventions in Singida region. She/he will work closely with the other TUNAJALI technical staff supporting adolescent and adult care and treatment, HBC and laboratory services.
Key Qualifications;
Holder of Advanced diploma/ Degree in Nursing
Additional training and or experience in PMTCT/EID, FANC, BEmONC, CEmONC, Postpartum Care and Cervical Cancer Screening is desirable.
Working Conditions;
All positions involves extensive travels in remote areas with up to 50% of time spent on travels within 5 TUNAJALI supported regions.
