ISS est à la recherche de plusieurs stagiaires motivés et ayant un attrait pour la recherche. Nos stagiaires seront affectés au marché français, très dynamique, et seront guidés et formés par une équipe d'analystes expérimentés.

Responsibilities 
  • Examen de chaque résolution présentée à l'ordre du jour des assemblées générales des sociétés cotées françaises;
  • Recherche d’informations - dans les documents publics des sociétés analysées (rapports annuels, documents de référence etc..) - notamment concernant la composition du conseil d'administration, les conventions réglementées, la rémunération des dirigeants, etc..;
  • Contact auprès des émetteurs (sociétés analysées) afin d’obtenir des précisions;
  • Analyse des résolutions au regard de notre politique de vote qui est fondée sur les bonne pratiques de gouvernance;
  • Rédaction de recommandations de vote en anglais.
Qualites recherches 
  • Formation en droit, économie, gestion, sciences politiques ou finances (idéalement niveau master);
  • Intérêt marqué pour la gouvernance d’entreprise et la recherche;
  • Rigoureux, avec un grand sens du détail;
  • Autonome, capable de prendre des initiatives et d’interagir avec les analystes pour bien appréhender les questions complexes;

The European Union Delegation to Myanmar is looking for three motivated, creative, curious and driven young European graduates to join our team as trainees starting on 16 January 2017.
Duration of traineeships: 6 months
General minimum requirements:
  • Undergraduate or graduate university student in a relevant field (economics, law, political science, international relations, international development)
  • Excellent analytical, communication and drafting skills in English
  • Excellent computer literacy
  • Knowledge of the functioning and policies of the European Union; basic knowledge of and interest in the work of the European Union in Myanmar

We currently offer:
  • 1 trainee position in the Political, Press and Information Section
Under the general guidance and supervision of a senior staff member, trainees in the Political, Press and Information Section will:
  • Draft of political analyses and reports on Myanmar, including coverage of current domestic political development, the peace process, the human rights situation in the country, as well as regional issues related to ASEAN;
  • Attend meetings with EU member states representatives, political interlocutors, non-governmental organisations etc.
  • Draft reports, briefing notes or background analyses on specific occasions, such as high-ranking official visits, Head of Delegation missions, political negotiations or conferences, etc.
  • Contribute to the preparation of meetings and conferences
  • Contribute to the production of publications.

  • Conduct research related to the EU development project portfolio in Myanmar, mainly on the areas of the Multiannual Indicative Programme for Myanmar (Rural - Development, Education, Governance and Peace-building).
  • Contribute to the preparation of reports, studies, briefing notes or background analyses on specific occasions or subjects (visit of high-ranking officials from HQ, political negotiations or conferences, etc).
  • Provide support on full project cycle management, and in particular to the design, supervision and monitoring of EU-funded development interventions in Myanmar.
  • Assist with the formulation of new projects and the preparation of guidelines, calls for proposals, contracts and grant agreements in the case of competitive processes.
  • Attend meetings with donors and implementing partners.
  • Contribute to the preparation of workshops, seminars, conferences and other public events, and support visibility and communication activities.
  • Contribute to the production of publications.

Traineeship at the EU Delegation to Indonesia & Brunei Darussalam

The EU Delegation to Indonesia & Brunei Darussalam is offering a non-remunerated traineeship in the Trade and Economic Section starting in January 2017. The duration of the traineeship is between five and six months. The responsibilities of the trainee will include drafting internal and external reports, conducting background research on economic developments in Indonesia and the wider ASEAN region, and assisting in the organisation of trade-related events.

We are looking for a skilled IT/technical student to join our team as part of a traineeship from mid November and get involved in the preparation of the Unconvention event taking place in Brussels on 23-24-25 January 2017.
He/She must be available to work 5 hours per week and provide full-time service for 4 days in January for the Unconvention event ( 1 day of technical tests and 3 days during the event).  The contract will be for a period from mid-November till end of January with the possibility to extend it. Compensation will be defined between both parties.

Research Assistant (SHAPE-ENERGY)

Short term opportunity, full or part-time, on EU-funded project, SHAPE-ENERGY: Social Sciences and Humanities for Advancing Policy in European Energy.
This 2 million Euro EUHorizon 2020 project will be the European Platform for energy-related social sciences and humanities (energy-SSH). SHAPE-NERGY will run from 1st February 2017 for two years (the post will commence within a few weeks/months of 01/02/17).

The role will primarily involve literature review and scoping work, as part of the (foundational) work package 1 of the project. The EIB offers fixed-term contracts of up to a maximum of 6 years, according to its business needs, with a possibility to convert to a permanent contract, subject to organisational requirements and individual performance.
This advert will also be used as a general campaign in order to create a reserve list for current and future vacancies in JU/CORP/ICL for Junior Legal Officers (Grade 4), Legal Officers (Grade 5) as well as Senior Legal Officers (Grade 6).

Purpose
The successful candidate will deliver the legal services required by the Bank in the areas of Institutional and European Union law and staff-related legal issues, will draft relevant legal instruments, documents and advice and will protect the Bank's legal interests.
The Lawyer (referred internally as -Senior-Officer Legal Services), who will have an excellent knowledge of the EU legislative and decision-making process, will independently carry out work relating to tasks within the Division's remit: in particular as regards the legal aspects of Institutional and European Union issues but also as regards  project eligibility and compatibility of financing operations with European Union law (in the areas of the environment, transparency policy, human rights, the Bank’s social standards, etc.); staff-related legal issues; and litigation relating to the afore-mentioned issues.
Candidates should also be acquainted with the procedure before the European Ombudsman and the Bank’s Complaints Mechanism.
Operating Network
The Lawyer will act under the authority of the Head of the Division and will collaborate with the other lawyers in the Division in accordance with the priority established by him.
Accountabilities
The lawyer will provide legal advice EU institutional issues as well as on other subject matters falling within the Division's remit. Under the supervision of the Head of the Division, whose instruction s/he will follow when dealing with complex issues and whose approval s/he will seek on fundamental or unusual matters, the Lawyer will be requested to:
  • Provide legal advice and solutions, in the form of notes and opinions (in English/French), in order to deal with institutional issues arising from the organisation and operation of the Bank as a body of the European Union, established under European Union law, and the legal provisions applicable to the Bank's staff
  • Undertake research and conduct studies on legal issues across the areas for which the Division is responsible
  • Represent the Bank's Legal Service in internal working groups (meetings, panels and task forces) to deal with specific issues
  • Maintain contact with the Division's counterparts, both within and outside the Bank (may involve travel)
Qualifications
  • University degree in Law and/or an equivalent professional legal qualification; a post-graduate specialisation in EU Law would be an asset
  • At least 3 years (Grade 4), 5 years (Grade 5), 15 years (Grade 6) of relevant professional post-qualification experience, including at least 3 years in European Union institutions or bodies and/or with a law firm of international repute
  • At least 3 years (Grade 4), 5 years (Grade 5), 15 years (Grade 6) of experience and/or deep knowledge of one or several of the following fields of European Union law: environment, human rights
  • Sound knowledge of the aspects of Institutional and substantive European Law
  • Very good knowledge of standard computer tools and familiarity with databases relating to EU law and case law
  • Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English and French(*); knowledge of further languages of the European Union would be an asset
