1. ASSET AND LIABILITIES MANAGER

Reporting to the Head-Balance Sheet Management the incumbent will be responsible for the management of the Bank's balance sheet. The role is explicitly aligned to the Asset and Liabilities Management process of the bank and responsible for the proactive management of funding, interest rate risk and liquidity risk.

The individual will primarily be responsible for, but not limited to the following:

• Overseeing the administration of the liquid asset portfolio and the cash reserve requirement as mandated by the central bank

• Active interest rate and liquidity risk management through understanding the central bank Repo system and its effect on the Groups pricing discovery and formation of the money market yield curve

• Collateral management- Intra-day management of collateral used in real time settlements (RTGS-SLF and ILF pledge)

• Compiling daily/monthly management reports in terms of the bank's liquidity position, interbank trading and reporting to the industry

• Manage investment and capital portfolios of the bank

• Maximize revenue generating possibilities of the local money market

• Pricing of the money rrarket products

• Trading in funding products with all local banks and institutional investors

• Produce economic research input for the ALCO pack

• Act as secretary to Assets and Liabilities Committee

The key attributes and core competencies of the incumbent include the following:

• Effective understanding of a bank's balance sheet and income statement analysis with a good track record

• Degree in Accounting / Finance / Economics or related qualification

• Basic level ACI dealing certificate

• At least 5 years of banking / similar experience at least 1 of which should have been in a treasury environment

• A good working knowledge of banking products and services

• A working knowledge of capital markets products

• Understanding of local and international regulatory issues and an ability to identify and implement reserving and capital efficient strategies

2. BUSINESS ANALYST - ISLAMIC BANKING

The successful candidate will play a support function to the islamic Finance clientele. They will also have to cross sell the bank's products, establish, build and maintain relationships with Islamic Finance Clientele.

The individual will primarily be responsible for, but not limited to the following:

1. Ensure that monthly Branch Profitability Management (BPM) for the business is processed timeously and accurately

2. Marketing the Islamic Finance products to clients and staff

3. Conduct daily administrative tasks of the Divisions

4. Property Credit responsibility will include

• Analyzing clients' Financial Statements

• Preparing Letters of Undertaking, instructions etc

• Preparing Agreements

• Making sure loan accounts opened correctly

• Property Administration, reconciliation of accounts, carrying out ledger entries for amounts coming in and out of the business

5. WesBank Credit and Administration

• Analysing Financial Statements

• Completing Lotus Notes

• Making sure payments are carried out accordingly

• Security perfection

• Recording the daily deals done

Qualifications and Experience

• Relevant degree or appropriate Banking Diploma

• Full computer literacy in MS Office
