Indonesia Operations Manager

Coffey International Development is currently tendering for the AusAID funded Education Partnership Outreach Services (EPOS). EPOS aims to raise the profile of Australia and its contribution to Indonesia’s education sector, forming part of Australia’s $500 million investment in the Education Partnership with Indonesia.
In tendering for this program, we are currently seeking expressions of interest for the position of Operations Manager.
• The Position
As Operations Manager you will be responsible for managing the team of technical specialists and program operations staff to ensure contracted outputs are delivered in accordance with guidelines provided. In close consultation with AusAID, you will negotiate contract implementation and will regularly report to AusAID on Coffey’s progress towards achieving programmatic and financial objectives, seeking opportunities for continuous improvement in effective implementation.
You will prepare and update the Education Partnership Public Diplomacy Strategy and Implementation Plan and apply an appropriate management and governance structure. By managing an up to date monitoring and evaluation framework, you will assess the EPOS program regularly and prepare reports as required. By ensuring compliance with AusAID and GoI policy, you will be accountable for the quality and timeliness of all contracted outputs and provide quality reports to AusAID as required.
• The Person
To be considered, you will have strong international experience in managing the media, communications and operations of high visibility public diplomacy programs in developing country environments across a range of communication mediums such as the internet, radio, audiovisual, print media and photography. You will have experience in high level communication and negotiation with international donors, Government departments and agencies, media and community based organisations. You will be skilled at program planning and reporting, contract management and leading large teams consisting of both international and locally engaged staff in cross cultural environments.
You will be degree qualified a management, operations and /or communications and media related discipline and will have preferably pursued post-graduate qualifications.
The ideal candidate will have high level interpersonal and cross-cultural skills, a good understanding of cultural, gender, disability and anticorruption issues in the area as well as a sound understanding of Indonesia in a development context.
Candidates with strong Bahasa Indonesia skills and experience working with the Government of Indonesia and international government agencies in Indonesia will be highly regarded.
