Position Description
Competition Law Compliance Counsel to AB Volvo, Corporate Compliance in Gothenburg

Corporate Compliance is a head-office function being responsible for managing the Volvo Group Anti-Corruption and Competition Law Compliance Programmes. Corporate Compliance works in close cooperation with the legal function of the Volvo Group. The Volvo Group employs approximately eighty corporate counsels worldwide.

Corporate Compliance now seeks to recruit an experienced lawyer to join our team. You will be expected to

• provide hands-on, expert competition law advice to the Volvo Group on a global basis,
• be a key contributor in building and developing the Volvo Group’s compliance framework,
• provide extensive, global, competition law training to employees at all levels in the Volvo Group, and
• be involved in investigations related to competition law issues on a global basis.

In your role, you will work closely with the different legal teams in the Volvo Group as well as with a wide range of other functions and businesses in the Group.

Qualifications:

• You should have a minimum of 7 years experience in EU competition law, preferably gained from both competition authorities and private practice
• You need to have excellent communication skills and an ability to communicate with employees at all levels of the organization
• You should have integrity, be business oriented and creative as well as have a demonstrated ability to cooperate and work in a team
• You will be expected to provide support mainly in English, and you must therefore be proficient in the English language
