Salary: R685 200 per annum (all-inclusive package to be structured in accordance with the rules for SMS) (Level 13) (Ref. S8/3/2011/674)
Requirements: • Appropriate completed Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in the field of Development • At least 5 years’ experience in a management position • Extensive experience in the field of development, including the Government’s Land Reform Programme • Sound knowledge of the Comprehensive Rural Development Programme (CRDP) and its new approaches • Experience in financial and human resource management as well as diversity and change management • High-level communication, negotiation and consultation/networking skills, including the ability to liaise with ease at various levels, especially with Local and Provincial Government, traditional authorities and communities • Conflict management skills • Project management skills • Service delivery innovation • Ability to work proactively and under pressure.
Duties: • Co-ordinate the implementation of Land Reform at Provincial level • Administer State land • Provide land reform support • Co-ordinate and facilitate land acquisition and warehouse services • Co-ordinate the implementation of the Department’s recapitalisation and development programme • Manage the work of the Land Rights management facility in the province • Provide guidance and support to district offices • Implement the risk management plan of the Province • Supervise staff under the Directorate.
Note: Appointment is subject to a positive security clearance and the signing of a performance agreement.
