Senior SCM Officer: Demand Management

Stats SA provides scientific knowledge that enables society to understand complex socio-economic phenomena.

Senior SCM Officer: Demand Management
(One permanent position exists within the Finance & Supply Chain Management
(SCM) division at Head Office, Pretoria)
(Salary level 9: R221 058 per annum) (Ref. No. 05/10/11HO)

Key performance areas: • Conduct market and commodity analyses • Assist with the compilation of specifications and/or terms of reference for every requirement • Render administrative support to the Team Leader: Demand Management • Liaise with users to determine future and current requirements • Align needs with the available budget • Supervise staff.

Prerequisites: • A three-year tertiary qualification in Finance • An additional course or training in SCM and iQual • At least three years’ experience in SCM and/or industry and commodity analysis • Knowledge of Acquisition Management as well as SCM-related acts and regulations • Knowledge of the MS Office suite.

Person profile: This position will suit a person with: • Good communication, analytical and report writing skills • The ability to work effectively, independently and efficiently under pressure in order to meet deadlines • The ability to handle stress and pay attention to detail.
