Stats SA provides scientific knowledge that enables society to understand complex socio-economic phenomena.

Human Resources Professional
(One permanent position exists in the Limpopo Provincial Office)
(Salary level 9: R206 982 per annum) (Ref. No. 06/10/11LP)

Key performance areas: • Coordinate the recruitment, selection and placement of staff in the Province • Coordinate human resource planning and recruitment for projects • Coordinate human resource benefit administration in the Province • Coordinate and implement Employment Equity • Assist with educating and advising staff on labour relations issues • Develop and train HR Practitioners • Provide support in the Employee Assistance Programme • Ensure the correct implementation of performance management • Ensure conformance to legislation and DPSA prescripts on human resource issues • Provide leadership and advice to all provincial and district office staff on HR-related matters.

Prerequisites: • A three-year tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management or industrial Psychology • Training in Labour Relations, Training and Development and Occupational Safety and Health • At least three years’ experience in human resource management as a generalist • Proven practical application of PERSAL and the MS Office suite • Knowledge of employee assistance programmes.

Person profile: This position will suit a person with: • Good interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills • The ability to work under pressure and pay attention to detail • Willingness to work long hours and travel to district offices.
