SALES MANAGER - SOUTH EAST ASIA

Sandvik is a global industrial group with advanced products and world-leading positions in selected areas. Currently Sandvik’s Material Technology - Tube division, a world leader in specialised materials, whom is dedicated to offering high quality products and services to manufacturing companies, has an opening for a Sales Manager – South East Asia to represent their extensive product range.
The role
The Sales Manager – South East Asia position is responsible for maintaining existing business and customer relationships. The position is responsible to continuously lead and develop the sales organization in line with targets. The Sales Manager is responsible for monitoring the current market and to actively search for new business opportunities, market- and industry needs in line with the business strategy within the Asia Pacific Region.
Key Performance Areas
Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager - APAC, the Sales Manager – South East Asia will also be responsible for improving operational performance in the areas of safety, quality and way of working through continuous improvements and active participation in cross functional teams throughout the South East Asia Region.
Responsibilities in the role will include but not be limited to:
  • To live up to the requirements as a leader within Sandvik.
  • To develop the business within the region.
  • To attract and develop talents to feed the leadership pipeline.
  • To drive long term technical partnerships with key customers for the benefit of the company globally.
  • To develop Sandvik capability to support the technical needs ensuring customer focus.
  • To attend conferences to gain market intelligence for use in the business planning process.
  • To monitor competitor activity and to identify actions based on product assortment or route to market changes.
Your Profile
The successful candidate will demonstrate a minimum of 7 years documented experience with sales in a leading position within the Technical sales area and possess a University degree, preferably in engineering.
A comprehensive understanding of production and standards will be favoured as will extensive experience within the target industry.
A commitment to improving customer productivity through “Value Selling”, Literacy & Computer skills essential, a Current Drivers Licence will be requiredand comprehensive English communication skills at a business level are required for this role.
