VecnaCares, a humanitarian technology NGO, seeks an enthusiastic software developer who is passionate about making a positive real-world impact in under served settings throughout the world. You will use your technical expertise across a variety of different projects focused on implementing technology in low-resource setting to create a measureable impact. Current projects include: development of an electronic medical records system for refugee camps and rural health facilities, deployment of an application to monitor safe births; and a data management system to utilize athlete data for the Special Olympics. With a number of the projects globally located, there are opportunities for travel to support implementations. The position relies on a foundation of development skills coupled with encouragement for creative approaches to challenges and improvements. You will be part of a mission-oriented, dynamic, team who are determined to provide technology in challenging areas to create measurable impact. This is a full-time, salaried position for a recent graduate able to start as soon as possible.
Responsibilities:
- Design a flexible and scalable Electronic Health Record (EHR) system for diverse underserved health systems.
- Develop features that span the technology stack for rapid deployment and evaluation in the field.
- Collaborate with top UI/UX designers, project managers, hardware engineers, and quality assurance test engineers to deliver robust health system platforms.
- Shape and align product roadmap with client needs and market opportunities.
Requirements:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in CS.
- Experience with Java, SQL, Javascript, CSS, and XML.
