BUSINESS UNIT MANAGER - FIRE SUPPRESSION

The role
Sandvik Mining & Rock Technology has an exciting opportunity for an experienced business professional to lead and develop the Fire Suppression business and operational team at a global level. This is a general management position and the role will have a dedicated, strategic business focus to develop customer relationships and grow market share. The Business Unit Manager is responsible for the Strategic business development and product management of the business unit.
Key performance areas
  • Profit & Loss, marketing & communication and product line strategy
  • Lead and develop a small operational team and an operating model to meet strategic objectives
  • Develop a clear and competitive offering strategy for the Fire Suppression business globally, across all applications
  • Create roadmaps for next generation offerings
  • Set Budgets and targets with Sales Areas and target EBIT improvement
  • Plan and implement product marketing initiatives
  • Maintain an accurate and ongoing sales pipeline
  • Develop and leverage the Sandvik brand and professional profile
  • Proactively drive safety in a leadership role
Your profile
You have a university degree in business or a related field and a minimum of 7 years general management experience. As an experienced business leader with an entrepreneurial focus, you have a thorough understanding of business operations and an ability to make efficient decisions and set priorities. You are a strong communicator with excellent leadership skills who can effectively engage and motivate your team to achieve business goals.
You have a high regard for safety and have a track record of leading by example to promote a safe and healthy workplace.
International travel will be required for this role.
