ICT Manager

EUREKA is an intergovernmental network that promotes and supports transnational research and development activities,  many involving small businesses and large industry. 
To support EUREKA’s mission of strengthening industrial competitiveness through innovation, the EUREKA Secretariat, based in Brussels, is looking for an experienced ICT Manager to lead a team, who can operate at both a strategic and technical level. 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
 
  • Formulate, develop and deliver IT strategies and policies to achieve the organisation’s objectives and contribute to the organisation’s strategy;
  • Translate the defined/approved IT strategies into concrete objectives;
  • Promote and organise structured and constructive communication between IT, “customers” and “providers/suppliers”; 
  • Ensure ‘IT’ incident tracking, offer solutions and perform appropriate reporting to management;
  • Ensure the management of IT projects according to business needs (planning, budget, staffing & scope definition);
  • Manage all IT aspects from the communication network to the websites including the proper functioning of IT hardware systems & infrastructure;
  • Manage the IT budget in order to organise the different 
  • IT activities and guarantee results within the policy lines of the annual business plan;
  • Continuously promote the development and improvement of the service quality to business and users;
  • Encourage the collaboration amongst team members in order to work as a good functioning department;
  • Ensure functioning of systems, security of data, network access and backups;
  • Ensure the team management
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
  • Proven experience as an IT manager or relevant equivalent experience (10+)
  • Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems
  • Expertise in high-impact data governance
  • Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation
  • Ability to manage personnel
  • CISSP or similar is a definitive asset
  • MBA / Management degree preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, presentation and problem solving skills.
  • Strong communication & relationship management skills, enthusiastic & self-driven, with a high degree of commitment
