Head of KPMG China Delivery Centre (KDC)
General:
- Provide vision and leadership for defining, developing, deploying and delivering activities across client facing services and firm support services for China, and for KDC’s own support services
- Report to the KPMG China COO and contribute to and implement the agreed strategy, incorporating the KDC operational strategy into the organisational plan
- Assist in determining the appropriate level of resource allocation and seek new methods to achieve results in a cost-effective and efficient way
- Recruit and retain the specialised talent needed to implement strategies and meet service level expectations; build organisation and staff capacity and shape management to develop and grow the KDC
- Bring current knowledge and future visions of technology and systems to business processes, products and services in order to gain a competitive advantage; identify emerging technologies and methodologies to be introduced within the China region to ensure that KDC capabilities respond to the needs of the region’s growth and product/service diversification
- Position the KDC as a valuable tool to drive innovation and creative solutions to business challenges
- Work collaboratively with global and regional governance to establish immediate and long-term needs among business stakeholders, and ensure standards are adhered to, best practices are utilised and innovations are shared
- Oversee design, marketing and promotion of KDC programmes and services
Strategic Planning & Governance:
- Plan and execute the strategy, goals and initiatives that align with KPMG’s business vision, mission and strategy, and steer the firm to achieve/exceed the business case
Fiscal Planning & Accountability:
- Balance resource constraints (both talent and fiscal) to optimise return on investments
- Create and manage annual operating and capital budgets as an integral part of the KDC budget to ensure consistency with overall strategic objectives
- Select and manage vendor relationships competitively to ensure the most cost-effective products and services; be responsible for identifying and delivering cost synergies and savings
Desired Skills & Experience
Experience / Attributes
- A minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience managing operations in a complex, sizeable (300+) matrix organisation, dealing with multiple senior executive level stakeholders
- Knowledge of KPMG’s business preferred
- Strong business acumen with service mindset; related experience such as technology, operations and finance
- Proven experience in delivering on large-scale change programmes with demonstrated capability to serve the broader needs of business users
- Good track record of building and transforming outsourcing strategies and transitions to low-cost locations; strategic supplier management for delivery and support
- Solid experience in business processes, management, budgeting and operations
- Demonstrated success in partnering with non-technical, executive and senior leadership teams
- Proven management expertise leading a KPO/BPO team to support a multi-divisional, geographically diverse professional services business
- Ability to understand and apply various project management methodologies and change management concepts in a highly regulated industry
- Professional services experience and IT financial management is desirable
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and listening skills
- Excellent command in verbal and written English required; Chinese language (Putonghua) would be an added advantage
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or related field; Master’s degree in Business Administration preferred
