Senior Surveyor | Kalgoorlie Residential | 5:2 Roster Barrick Gold Corporation
Barrick Kanowna has a strong presence in the Eastern-Goldfields of Western Australia centred around the city of Kalgoorlie-Boulder. The Kanowna operation processes 2 million tonnes of refractory and free milling ore per annum from three underground mines in the region. It has significant exploration lease holdings and is one of the largest employers in the area.
This is a residential role based in Kalgoorlie
POSITION
Reporting to the Mine Superintendent the Senior Surveyor is responsible for marking out, monitoring and defining the direction of all surface and underground workings within the Kundana mining district and for the preparation and updating of mine plans.

- Bachelor Applied Science (Surveying) or Diploma of Surveying
- Authorised Mine Surveyor's Certificate of Competency Grade 1 (preferred
- Underground mine surveying
- Stockpile surveying
- Mine design
- Experience in leading a team of surveyors
- Detailed working knowledge of the Mines Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations
- Ability to communicate effectively across all levels
- Strong report writing and presentation skills
- Competent in the use of mine design software
