The unit has over 70 staff working across both CBeebies and CBBC content. Presentation also includes the Red Button interactive services for Children’s.

As Assistant Producer you’ll be a key part of the team creating engaging content to fill the airtime, and the final delivery of the overall CBeebies/CBBC schedules.

Role

You’ll work as an integral part of the wider Presentation team on the development and production of content for both CBBC and CBeebies. Working with a team of Producers, you’ll take responsibility for researching and delivering distinctive and engaging links. This includes involvement at every stage of the production process, including taking responsibility for other members of the production team, during filming and directing in both studio and on location, in a creative way which reflects the style of our content. You will also help the Producers lead our teams on a day to day basis

Requirements

You’ll have a clear understanding of the needs and profile of both the CBBC/CBeebies audience and the ability to translate these into imaginative and compelling ideas, whilst considering the constraints governing suitability of content. Possessing excellent scripting, structuring and story-telling skills and strong editorial judgement you’ll also have the ability to create and innovate content ideas for Presentation from concept to delivery.  As well as being able to demonstrate visual flair and good story telling techniques you will have experience of working in a studio environment and filming on location.   You will also be an effective planner and organiser and be able to prioritise effectively delivering consistently to deadlines and reacting positively to changes and conflicting priorities.
