Suffolk’s been at the centre of some of the biggest news stories to hit the UK and BBC Radio Suffolk has developed a great reputation for covering those stories. 

Role

6 month fixed term contract / attachment

You’ll have a great voice, snappy writing and a passion for reading bulletins. Your delivery will be authoritative and you will have a creative flair. You’ll also have experience in reporting and production. You’ll need to demonstrate experience of delivering breaking news and generating your own stories as well as helping develop other creative ideas.

Requirements

 
We’re looking for experienced journalists with a track record of delivering original journalism and strong writing skills. You’ll have a great voice and possess first class news judgment. You’ll be able to originate and develop programme stories.
You must be flexible in your approach; be a team player and have good planning and organising skills. You’ll also need the ability to work on your own, making decisions and referring up when necessary. You will have an understanding of the BBC’s Editorial Guidelines and awareness of legal considerations applying to all types of output.
