ASSIGNMENT OVERVIEW

Assignment Title: 1092467 - Cocoa Technical Material Developer & Manager

ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTION

This consulting assignment intends to gather/reformat content, design and accompany the development and roll-out of training materials for cocoa producers and technicians in Nicaragua. The purpose of the materials is to ensure a common base of knowledge for technicians, and improve the effectiveness of extension services though the packaging of content and timeliness of information provided to producers.

ELIGIBILITY

IFC and its partners seek to hire a consultant to design and accompany the development of cocoa training materials for this project. Interested candidates are expected to have:

In depth knowledge of cocoa, including improved varieties and grafting techniques (minimum 10 years experience)
Proven experience in material development for agri smallholders (including illiterate producers) and extension services (minimum 5 years experience)
Experience in instructional design services; proven experience with the incorporation of technology for extension services (minimum 5 years experience)
Good understanding of adult learning styles and learner- centered approach
Proven communication skills in both oral and writing
Power to work in both English and Spanish
Capacity to facilitate feedback giving and receiving sessions
Ability to train technicians end users on materials
Local presence in Nicaragua
