Totake lead in defining, developing and implementing the Sandvik Information Management Strategy, we are now looking for a Chief Information Officer (CIO) who finds inspiration in the challenge of bringing our IT function to a the next level. The location for this position is Stockholm, Sweden.
Your challenges
As CIO, you are key in redesigning the current operating model and implementing necessary changes to allow the business areas to take the lead in all processes. This includes supporting the ongoing decentralization of business-related responsibilities to the respective business area. We specifically aim to strengthen the closeness between IT and business in order to facilitate speed and improve the ability to adapt to all our different business’s needs. Your key challenges are to bring Sandvik’s IT function to the next level by achieving a more business centric governance and organizational model. You assure cost efficiency as key element in the IT strategy and increased responsiveness to new IT requirements as well as to meet different business needs.
You report directly to the Executive Vice President and CFO. International and domestic travel is part of the job.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a relevant academic degree in Business and/or IT and with at least 15 years’ leadership experience. You have deep understanding of all parts of the IT value chain and international experience acquired in an industrial manufacturing environment. Experience from working in the Nordics is considered advantageous. You also need strong technical skills to make sound judgments in your area of responsibility. As we operate in a truly global setting, your communication skills in English must be excellent, both verbally and in writing.
