Duties and Responsibilities
With more than 750 European Union funded research and innovation projects, 156 currently under Horizon 2020, UCL is unquestionably one of the key players in European research and innovation funding – currently ranked the second top performing university in Europe under Horizon 2020. UCL’s European Research and Innovation Office’s (ERIO) mission is to assist UCL in maintaining its position at the forefront of European collaboration in science and technology.
One new position has arisen in UCL’s European Research and Innovation Office for one European Project Manager within the Project Management team. The main responsibilities of this post relate to carrying out top-level project management services from the kick-off stage until a project's closure.
The successful candidate will be able to offer a range of advice, support and project management services for EU funded projects where UCL is the co-ordinator including working in close collaboration with UCL researchers, scientific managers and Research Administration ensuring the successful implementation of the projects.
The appointment is funded for 12 months in the first instance.
Key Requirements
The position will suit candidates with experience of project management, particularly multi-partners international EU funded collaborative projects and knowledge of EU Framework Programme funding (FP7 and Horizon 2020).
