Arts Officer, Iran

Based in London

1 year fixed term contract / part-time (3 days per week)

£25,000 per annum, pro rata plus £3,300 London Market Allowance per annum, pro rata

We are looking for an experienced Arts officer to work with the UK and Iranian Arts sector and with the British Council to develop programmes, audiences and partnerships which contribute to the British Council Iran cultural relations programme.

You will have: Specialist and up-to-date knowledge of and a broad network of contacts in the UK and Iranian Arts fields, especially the film, theatre, music and live art sectors; an understanding of the opportunities for cultural relations through the arts within an international context; fluent Farsi and English both written and spoken; significant recent professional experience of working in a creative, producing, programming or management capacity in the Arts sector, with links between Iran and the UK. It is desirable that you have a relevant degree; and experience of promoting the Arts digitally and using digital platforms.
