English Language Adviser, Bangladesh

Based in Dhaka

2 year fixed-term contract

We are looking for an experienced English Language specialist for this role. We aim to be the lead advocates and providers of English in Bangladesh, and our global English work needs to be integrated and reflected in all of our work across all projects. This role will gain impact and profile for the British Council as a leader in the field of ELT and lead the implementation and delivery of the country’s strategy for English.

You will have: a PGCE in TEFL or RSA, UCLES, Trinity College, London or other equivalent diploma in TEFLA / DELTA plus minimum 3 years’ full-time post-qualification experience; ELT experience, including proven trainer and teacher training experience (gained in relevant school system contexts overseas); and experience of online, digital and handheld learning. An MA in TEFL/Applied Linguistics is desirable.
