Responsibilities

Execute transaction and portfolio monitoring processes in relation to assigned portfolios, taking responsibility for:

  • Ex-ante and Ex-post investment compliance reviews of loan guarantee and structured debt products;
  • Carrying out on-site monitoring and control reviews of loan documentation and procedures at intermediary banks;
  • Review of investment fund and mandate legal documentation and associated operational implementation procedures;
  • Review of operational implementation of EC regulations and policies;
  • Drafting and periodic review and update of operational procedures including change management and versioning control;
  • Assisting the Team Leader in ensuring that a robust control environment is maintained and that all operational and compliance risks in the Debt Administration and Equity Administration operations are actively managed and mitigated;
  • Providing assistance in the provision of documentation required as part of the audit process and contributing to the closure of audit issues;
  • Assisting from an operational perspective on relevant I.T. system development and maintenance initiatives and actively contributing to user acceptance testing activities;
  • Co-ordination of risk and audit issues across both Debt Administration and Equity Administration Teams including logging and tracking to completion of audit and operational risk issues.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Finance, Law, Economics or Business Administration. Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, ACA) would be an advantage;
  • Experience of investment fund regulations and/or EC regulatory environment would be an advantage in this role;
  • In-depth understanding of fund legal documentation and associated operational procedures;
  • Minimum three to five years’ relevant professional experience in an audit, fund administration or risk management role with some exposure to staff supervision or management;
  • Exposure to loan guarantees, securitisation, structured finance and private equity products would be an advantage;
  • Knowledge of financial analysis and financial control procedures;
  • Excellent command of English, both written and oral. Knowledge of other European Union languages would be an advantage.
