Salary: R206 982 per annum (Ref. 76191/8)

Requirements: * Appropriate Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification and/or appropriate experience * In addition, at least 2 years' relevant experience in fleet management in the Civil Service * A valid driver's licence.
Competencies: · An in-depth knowledge of all aspects of fleet management within the civil service and related prescripts • Organising skills • Analytical skills • Computer literacy • Good communication skills • Client orientation/customer focus • Good report-writing skills • Problem-solving ability · Knowledge of and experience in PFMA and preferential procurement prescripts.

Duties: · Manage staff under his/her control • Ensure an effective and efficient transport service is rendered to all clients • Manage a fleet consisting of 80 vehicles • Manage the procurement of official vehicles • Procure and manage vehicles for political office bearers • Manage all aspects of parking at the DIRCO Head Office • Manage a shuttle service between the Pretoria CBD and Head Office • Manage the shuttle service between OR Tambo Airport and the Hatfield Gautrain Railway Station • Oversee the proper management of all official vehicles decentralised to certain business units within the Department · Oversee the preparation of all First Auto and G-fleet reports and take action where abnormalities might occur • Oversee and manage the repair and maintenance of the fleet • Ensure proper records are kept of each vehicle • Compile and maintain the Transport Policy and Procedures • Submit a monthly fleet report to the Director: Facilities Management • Manage the transport budget • Ensure proper controls are in place with regard to the use of petrol cards, use of vehicles, accidents, incidents etc • Serve as a liaison between DIRCO and the National Department of Transport and local authorities (licensing) as well as motor dealers • Compile submissions for Bid Adjudication Committees • Deal with audit queries and compile reports for the departmental Audit Committee • Serve as secretariat of the departmental Transport Steering Committee • Administer subsidised vehicles within the Department • Administer payments to service providers.
