Evaluator

The Center for Health Training (CHT) is a well-regarded not-for-profit training, technical assistance and research/evaluation agency committed to improving health and social services organizations' abilities to deliver accessible, high quality, culturally proficient, and compassionate services to their clients. The Evaluator is responsible for a broad range of activities within the agency’s research, evaluation and performance monitoring projects, including: instrument development, data collection coordination, data management, analysis, and preparation of reports.

Experience required in all phases of health/human service field-based research and evaluation arenas. Expertise conducting evaluation capacity building for community-based organizations and performing quantitative statistical analyses preferred. Ability to communicate research and evaluation data to a wide range of audiences required.

Required: Minimum of three (3) years of quantitative data collection and analysis experience.

Specific Duties
• Design plans to evaluate capacity building to local community-based youth-serving organizations.
• Develop and implement rigorous evaluation of capacity building training and technical assistance.
• Assist project team to develop program logic models that link project objectives and activities to evaluation plan.
• Implement quantitative and qualitative data collection activities.
• Generate analyses, reports, articles and data summaries for dissemination to funding agencies and local organizations.
• Promote communication of data and research to local community partners in order to inform program development.
• Provide technical assistance to local organizations on process and outcome evaluation steps.
• Participate in state and national evaluation workgroup meetings.

Skills & Abilities
• Graduate level degree in public health, social sciences, or comparable fields.
• Experience with SPSS, Access, PowerPoint and word processing applications.
• Demonstrated experience in managing community-based participatory evaluation and research projects.
• Experience with quantitative and qualitative data management, analysis and word processing applications.
• Record of successful project management and strong organizational skills
• Ability to work with a variety of individuals from diverse community-based groups and organizations;
• Knowledge of science-based approaches to teen pregnancy prevention, HIV and STI content areas preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally with individuals and groups.
