Description:
CRDF Global is seeking a consultant with a history of working in the areas of defense, arms control and/or nonproliferation research and development. Strong background in science and engineering, as well as familiarity with missile, chemical, biological and nuclear weapons scientists, technicians and engineers (STEs) is essential. The work will require the consultant to review the resumes of STEs to evaluate whether they fit into categories of weapons of mass destruction (WMD) or dual use scientists (i.e., possess knowledge and/or access to laboratories/materials that could lead to the development of WMD). Resumes may be accompanied by research or fellowship proposals to aid in the dual use evaluation. Program participants may come from Eurasia, the Middle East, South or Southeast Asia, or Africa with a significant portion of the STEs coming from Iraq.

Deadline for proposals is July 31, 2011.

Qualification:
- MSC or PhD in a related scientific field

- Minimum 10 years work experience with U.S. government, a national laboratory or related contractor with demonstrated responsibilities for assessing WMD scientific proposals with STEs from a broad range of backgrounds (nuclear, chemical, biological, missile)

- Familiarity with civilian science applications for WMD STE skill sets

- Availability for 15 to 20 off-site hours per month

- Excellent analytical and written communication skills

- Database management in Excel

- Highly motivated, well organized individual with superior attention to detail - Familiarity with IT platforms such as Central Desktop a plus

- Work experience in Iraq a plus
