Deputy Division Chief (Procurement and Budget Management Division)
The Deputy Division Chief - Resource and Budget Manager will be responsible for directly managing the Resource Management Team as well as assisting the Division Chief in overseeing the Business Portfolio and Service Management Teams.
The Resource Management team is responsible for the overall formulation, execution and management of the TGS budget. The Business Portfolio team is responsible for the management and tracking of the various IT projects across the Fund, while the Service Management Team provides a wide variety of management services across TGS, including process improvement, communications, and data analysis.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Deputy Division Chief
- Assist the Division Chief in the management of the Procurement, Budget and Management Services Division.
Budget Management and Financial Reporting
- Oversee the formulation and management of the TGS administrative (about $180 million) and capital (about $50 million) budgets;
- Manage and improve budget processes and practices, including streamlining and automation of existing processes;
- Ensure the maximum and most effective utilization of IMF-wide administrative and capital budgets controlled and administered by TGS through active review, consultation, and communication with senior departmental management;
- Interact with counterparts in Office of Budget and Planning and other departments on budget-related issues, and resolve budgetary and expenditure issues related to Fund-wide budgets managed by TGS; and
- Provide team leadership for Resource Management Team staff - budget officers/assistants, and other budget-related staff in the department through staff supervision, staff assistance, functional oversight, staff development, and internal training.
Project Management and Process Improvement
- Provide management oversight to the Business Portfolio Team on the management of the IT project/portfolio management office and the IT governance process;
- Provide management oversight the Service Management Team on process improvement and performance tracking activities;
- Working with the respective team leads of the Business Portfolio Team and the Service Management Team to establish strategic directions, targets and goals.

Education Qualifications:
Advanced university degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field of study or equivalent, plus a minimum of 11 years of relevant professional experience; or a bachelor's degree in a related field of study plus a minimum of 17 years of relevant professional experience, is required.
