Underground Control Systems Engineer United States-Nevada

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities include:
The successful candidate will develop and implement control systems at the Underground Division including: GE PLC’s, Allen Bradley PLC’s, CIMPLICITY HMI, and communication systems such as, Genius Bus, A-B DH+ and RIO, Modbus, Lonworks and Ethernet. Support other process control and monitoring system (e.g. QuickPanel, Multilin) as needed. Specify new hardware and software for expansion and upgrade projects. Provide technical guidance and support for all electrical instrumentation installations in the Underground Division. Assist maintenance and operations as required in troubleshooting and repair electrical instrumentation, PLC’s SCADA/HMI and communication systems. Other duties as assigned.

SELECTION CRITERIA

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
To be considered for this job, applicants must meet these basic requirements:
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (Electrical, Instrumentation or Control) preferred
• Ability to configure and program PLC’s, such as GE 90-30 and 90-70 PLC’s, Allen Bradley SLC, PLC’-5 and Logix PLC’s required
• Working knowledge of engineering software tools, such as AutoCAD preferred
• Working knowledge of industrial plant motor control circuits and variable speed drive operation required
• Ability to implement basic process control strategies for new facility additions or productivity enhancements required
• Ability to configure and program SCAD/HMI systems, such as GE CIMPLICITY HMI preferred
• Familiarity with hardware components and communication methods and protocols for programmable logic controllers required
• Ability to work within a team environment and possess excellent communication skills required
