Industrial Hygiene Coordinator United States-Nevada
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities include: The successful candidate will provide leadership and be a resource in health related matters, develop systems and policies, analyze, train, and promote safety and health awareness as well as loss prevention for all Turquoise Ridge employees and contractors.
Key areas of responsibility include: coordinate, implement and evaluate IH initiatives and sampling strategy for site, implement/evaluate/maintain site respiratory protection, hearing conservation, hazcom and other IH related programs as needed. Develop and instruct IH and MSHA topics with all employees including new hire, annual refresher and toolbox training sessions as required and maintain data, records and reports including IH related computer database’s. Other duties as assigned.
SELECTION CRITERIA
BASIC REQUIREMENTS: To be considered for this job, applicants must meet these basic requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Hygiene or related degree required
• Minimum one year experience in the mining industry preferred
• Working knowledge of IH best practices, regulations and laws that involve health and safety in the workplace preferred
• Excellent communication, presentation & organizational skills required
• Strong computer skills MS Office required
• Proven safe work record required
