Process Manager - MSF Supply (M/F)

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international humanitarian aid organisation that provides assistance in more than 60 countries to populations in distress, to victims of natural or manmade disasters and to victims of armed conflicts, without discrimination and irrespective of race, religion, creed or political affiliation. To develop this work, the MSF OCB is recruiting for MSF Supply a Process Manager

MISSION MSF took an important decision with regards to its supply chain and created the Supply Chain and Logistics Department. This ‘new’ department is, amongst others, responsible for the creation of a new supply unit based on the concept of an ‘end to end supply chain’. Implementing the strategic vision of an ‘end to end supply chain’ will require the involvement of different departments of MSF: Medical Department, Finance Department, HR Department, Supply Chain and Logistics Department, Operations Department and last but not least all the missions.

This function takes in charge the process management of the above mentioned vision/concept: design, modeling, execution, monitoring, optimization and reporting.

The Process Manager reports to the Supply chain and Logistics Director.

MAIN ACTIVITIES Design Identify existing processes Design the missing processes required for the implementation of an ‘end to end’ supply chain Represent all the different process flows, the actors within, alerts & notifications, escalations, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Service Level Agreements (SLA) and task hand-over mechanisms Modeling Introduce combinations of variables into the theoretical design Run the “what-if analysis” on the processes Execution Ensure that the concerned departments, units and missions execute the required steps of the process Monitoring Tracking individual processes, so that information on their state can be easily seen, and statistics on the performance of one or more processes can be provided The information obtained through this monitoring will be used to improve connected processes Optimization Retrieve process performance information from modeling or monitoring phase Identify inside the process flow the potential or actual bottlenecks and the potential opportunities for improvement Apply those enhancements in the design of the process Reporting Report on the complete process flow and the proposed design changes

CANDIDATE PROFILE Good analytical skills and result-oriented Be able to work in a team Good leadership skills and abilities; cross-functional Good written and oral communication skills for interacting and coordinating work within the different departments and units Ability and effectiveness to manage time to meet set targets and deadlines. Strong knowledge of process analysis and workflow management in the supply chain business Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks. Ability to provide individual and group-based seminar/workshop. Ability to work independently with minimum supervision. Ability to work with diverse group of professionals in close cooperation. Fluent English and French, both written and spoken At least 5 years of experience in the international supply chain business Previous experience in a non-profit organization is an asset
