Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation Officer


The Netherlands Institute for Multiparty Democracy (NIMD) is a democracy assistance organization that supports political parties in developing democracies. Our approach is characterized by interparty dialogue: we bring parties together and encourage them to cooperate on political issues. This is crucial to establish the right environment for a country's democratic development. Currently, we run programmes in more than 20 countries in Africa, Latin America, Southeast Asia and Eastern Europe.
The headquarters of NIMD is located in the heart of The Hague (Passage). Here we have a strong and committed staff of around 25 people. Our culture is informal and open, and encourages initiative, professionalism and interaction.
The Programmes & Projects team consists of Programme Managers, a Project Manager and the Coordinator Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation. They are responsible for the execution of the country programmes and projects and the accountability towards the donors.
To strengthen our Programmes & Projects team in The Hague NIMD is looking for a
Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation Officer (m/f)
38 hours a week
to start on July 1:
Tasks:
Management of PME systems: Ensures timely delivery, availability and aggregation of PME data and monitoring the quality of the supplied data with focus on a number of specific country programs. Drafting IATI-compliant work instructions for data entry.
Reports: Assisting employees at NIMD headquarters in The Hague, but also at the country offices and partner organizations, when writing program and project reports based on the PME system and monitoring the quality of the delivered reports, so they meet the requirements of the donors.
Capacity building: is responsible for strengthening the PME capacity with partner organizations and country offices and provides support in the development of data collection methods and instruments for the measurement of outcome and intermediate indicators. Organizes training and workshops to instruct colleagues to apply these methods and tools.
Profile:
You are efficient, stress-resistant, solution-independent and flexible. You have good interpersonal skills and skills to coach and train. You are accurate, analytical and have a logical mind. You speak and write good English and French (both required) and preferably also Dutch and Spanish. You have a HBO/ academic working and thinking level and a minimum of three to five years of work experience in the field of PME in an international environment. You have experience in the application of PME methodologies and systems especially in result based reporting. You have affinity for IT applications for PME.
We offer a position for 38 hours at HQ in The Hague. You will work under the guidance of the Head of Programmes & Projects, in cooperation with the Coordinator of PME. . NIMD offers a competitive remuneration package. . The annual salary based on a full-time employment of 38 hours is between
EU 32 651, - and EU 52 480, - After temporary appointments the possibility of permanent employment exists.
