Baseline - Empowering Adolescent Girls through Education Plan UK

Plan UK invites research organisations, universities, academies, institutes, and think tanks to work on the baseline study of Plan UK’s flagship programme, ‘Building Skills for Life’. The programme is aimed at empowering adolescent girls, particularly through education. Plan UK has secured £12.4 million through DFID’s Partnership Programme Agreement for 3 years from April 1st, 2011. The PPA will be focusing on the Building Skills for Life programme.

Plan is looking for a research organisation to carry out the baseline study between April and June, with an indicative budget of 150,000-175,000 GBP. This baseline is a stepping stone towards potentially establishing a long term collaboration in the various research and monitoring and evaluation aspects of the programme. Plan UK intend to use the PPA to invest in high quality research, monitoring and evaluation both to inform programme learning, inform advocacy work, and to meet the high expectations on effectiveness, impact and value for money.
