Qualifications and skills
- Relevant educational background (a university degree in economics, finance or equivalent where the normal period of university education is at least three years). Higher degrees (master or PhD degree) in the area of venture capital funds, equity finance or similar will be considered as an advantage. The university degree can be compensated by at least 15 years of experience and on the job training in banking, finance and other relevant areas of expertise.
- Fluency in the English language, including effective spoken, presentation and written reporting abilities.
General professional experience
- At least 7 but preferable 10 years of relevant professional experience in SME financing.
Specific professional experience
- Extensive experience in development of financial instruments (such as venture capital funds, equity financing or similar) and procedures for their establishment.
- Good knowledge of best practice in related policy instruments in EU and accession countries.
- Working experience in financial institutions on venture or equity capital activities, gained in an EU member state, will be considered as an advantage.
Location:
The base location of the project will be in Belgrade. However, the Consultant’s team will be required to travel to other parts of Serbia as required.
Project duration: 24 months
Indicative mobilisation of the Consultant’s team is planned for September 2011.
