Capacity building experts

2 experts, one French speaking and one English speaking. The experts will:

· Develop training materials adapted to the needs of the participants

· Be present at the training events as a trainer

· Perform an evaluation of around 10% of the workshop participants to ascertain the implementation of the guidelines recommended during the training workshop

· Support the Communications expert in delivering the success stories

· Define implement the new knowledge sharing approach

· In addition to the training duties, the capacity building experts will define ToRs for TA Projects to accompany the newly defined Knowledge sharing behaviour.

PROFILE

Education

University degree in the field of business administration, economics, international trade or similar

Qualifications and skills

· Knowledge and familiarity with the latest generation of ICT/ICM technologies and web based tools (“web2.0”) for blogging, community networking, etc...

· Excellent command of spoken and written English and French

· Good communication and facilitation skills in multi-stakeholder discussions.

· Ability to mentor and motivate individuals to express themselves on topical issues of interest

· Ability to bring non specialists’ attention to production of editable and publishable content

· Ability to collect good ideas and practices and bring an audience to work around these

· Knowledge/experience of training

· Good sense of communication to interact with the beneficiaries

· Customer oriented mindset

General professional experience

· The expert should have 5 to 10 years of experience in project management / ACP private sector development

· Experience in needs analysis

· Capacity building/training activities on collection, edition and dissemination of information

· Experience in training adult professionals

· Knowledge of and thorough understanding of the socio-economic development context of ACP Countries

· Specific understanding of the operations of IOs and their role in championing private sector issues

· Familiarity with private sector networks, associations or organizations

Specific professional experience

· Experience in organising and running workshops

· Previous experience in editing online publications and in moderating on-line discussion forums will be an advantage

· The expert(s) should master English and French languages.
