FOOD SECURITY/NUTRITION EXPERT- TEAM LEADER
VGM Partners LLC is looking for an expert for the following EC Framework project in Malawi:
PROJECT NAME: Technical Assistance for programming support for Malawi under the MDG Initiative and under f in. Mid-Term Review Process under the 10lh European Development Fund.
Global objective: Global objective of the assignment is to assist the Government of Malawi in analysis of achievements under four selected Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and in the preparation of written proposals ("concept notes'1) that contain project/programme concepts that foresee a use of the addilional financial allocations to foster progress towards MDGs Ic, 4, 5 and 7c.

POSITION: Food security/nutrition expert - Team Leader
Qualifications and skills
· At least 10 years of post-graduate professional experience in developing countries in advising Governments and development partners on agricultural policies as well as the design and implementation of support programmes in the areas of agriculture, food security and/or nutrition;·
· He/she must have Master’s or PhD degree in agriculture, forestry, nutrition or a related discipline;
· Absolute fluency in written and oral English, and an excellent communication skills;
· Experience of designing and implementing development programmes and projects;
· Previous experience with the identification and formulation of EU/EDF programmes/projects, as well as knowledge of EU/EDF procedures;
· He/she must be familiar with the Millennium Development Goals.
