Livelihoods Coordinator Oxfam New Zealand

Goroka, Papua New Guinea, 2 years

Oxfam International is a confederation comprising 15 Oxfam affiliates, which operate in more than 90 countries around the world.

Working with people in extreme poverty, Oxfam provides practical support with essentials like safe water, basic education and a reliable food supply. When natural disasters or conflicts strike, we seek to save lives and to help communities recover. We also ensure there are lasting solutions by advocating for change to the structures and policies that keep people in poverty.

Oxfam has been operating in Papua New Guinea since 2005 and has been supporting local partners since the 1990s. The Oxfam Livelihoods Programme aims to improve livelihoods, economic opportunities and food security for poor and vulnerable local communities.

In collaboration with implementing partners, you will take the lead in ensuring quality project implementation and partner capacity development, budget and staff management as well as provide all necessary technical input.

You will also be involved in networking with key technical agencies and will be a member of the Oxfam Highlands Programme Senior Management Team.
