Information and Communications Internship Eurochild

We are looking for an intern to assist with Eurochild’s Information and Communications work. Interns are part of the staff team and expected to contribute to the overall work of Eurochild, as appropriate.

Internship period: 1 March 2012 to 31 August 2012.
Our interns receive a standard remuneration (around 700 Euros).

Responsibilities

• Support with the production of the weekly "Info Flash" for Eurochild members (scanning the news channels, web- and paper-based research, compiling news items, summarizing and editing),
• Support with the production of the monthly e-News Bulletin,
• Support with updating Eurochild's website,
• Assistance with the maintenance of information databases and mailing lists,
• Helping with organization of Eurochild events.

Qualifications

• University degree or relevant experience in journalism, media, communication, *
• Excellent written and verbal English (other EU languages an advantage), *
• Computer literacy and experience of website work (all MS office applications, basic html, knowledge of Typo3 is a plus), *
• Knowledge of EU institutions and policy making procedures is a plus,
• Video filming/editing experience is a plus,
• Enthusiasm to work in a small, interdependent and international team. *
