Integrated Crop Management Advisor CAB International

The Integrated Crop Management Advisor will develop effective ICM implementation programmes in collaboration with project partners, conduct capacity building and knowledge transfer in numerous countries and provide specialist advice on ICM as a sustainable agricultural approach.

The successful candidate will visit international projects upon request, deliver agreed Terms of Reference (ToR) and provide subsequent feedback to all relevant project stakeholders via timely submission of reports and regularly engage with national partners to foster strong relationships and productive collaboration. He/she will develop concept notes and proposals in the field of ICM in accordance with the Prince2 management system or other project design methods agreed with the donor (e.g. Outcome Mapping, Logical Project Framework or Project Cycle Management) and will also develop best practice guidelines and capacity building programmes to support regional or national ICM implementation. He/she will also advise national partners on project planning (i.e. the design of concept notes, proposals, logical frameworks and budgets), as well as project implementation, and monitoring and evaluation.

He/she will have a post-secondary degree/diploma in Natural Sciences or Agriculture, and/or another field related to development cooperation and will also be fluent in spoken and written English with a knowledge of French, German or another major language as a distinct advantage. He/she will have experience of project management (needs analysis, concept development, and project design and implementation) in development cooperation; good project administration skills, including budget planning and financial reporting and experience of facilitation of multi-stakeholder processes in diverse cultures. A strong team player with excellent technical, management and communication skills; self-motivated and capable of handling a demanding work load
