King's College London - Marketing Department/External Relations Directorate
The post is part of the Marketing Communications Team within the Marketing Department. The post is a vital one to the success of the Marketing Department's objectives and supports the College's strategic aim to attract the best students in terms of ability and potential by providing web content that is consummate with our positioning as a world-class institution.
The Department: The Marketing Department at King's incorporates more than 36 staff and includes professionals in the following areas:
  • Product marketing team including market intelligence and staff who work in collaboration with the College's academic Schools
  • International marketing team including staff who manage the College's agent network
  • UK and Europe team, responsible for recruitment and events in these markets
  • Marketing communications team who are responsible for print and online materials
The work of the department has been recognised with a number of industry awards including the HEIST marketing department of the year and most recently, for the online prospectus.
The Department is responsible through the Director of External Relations for the delivery of an overall marketing strategy for the College and for each of the academic Schools
Work with the Marketing Communications Manager and Director of Marketing to develop King's web content and day-to-day management and analysis. The post-holder will be the lead web content producer for King's College London and create best practice examples, understanding writing for the web skills, SEO and accessibility, to steer other content producers and help strengthen King's online experience and branding. The post-holder will also be the main point of contact for managing our online prospectus.
We are looking for an experienced web editor, with a passion for producing content optimised for the users experience and for the effective marketing of King's. They should be experienced in writing and editing web copy, using CMS, Photoshop, SEO and analytical tools, and preferably have a strong understanding of other web technologies
The appointment will be made, dependent on relevant qualifications, within the Grade 5 scale, currently £26,004 to £30,122, per annum plus £2,323 per annum London Allowance.
