Transnet Rail Engineering, an operating division of Transnet SOC Limited, has this opportunity for suitably
qualified persons:

As part of its Human Capital Development Strategy, Transnet Rail Engineering is looking for unemployed, dynamic and recently qualified graduates for its two-year Graduate-in-Training Development Programme in the following areas:
• Human Capital
• Risk & Safety
• Strategy & Marketing
• Information & Communications Technology
• Corporate Services

This drive is aimed at addressing skills requirements and ensuring alignment with the Market Demand Strategy. The Graduate-in-Training Programme is conducted over a 24-month period, during which the Graduate-in-Training will be assessed on a 6-monthly basis. The Programme will provide candidates with relevant workplace experience through a structured learning programme and organisational support to grow them into positions/roles within Transnet Rail Engineering, if available.
Minimum requirements:

Completed National Diplomas/B degrees as follows:

Occupational Health and Safety Management

Basic understanding:
Process mapping • SAP • Lean Six Sigma Principles • Project management.

Skills: • Teamwork • Interpersonal • Decision-making • Good communication • Facilitation • Organising • Project management • Computer literacy • Problem-solving • Strong technical and practical background.

Attitude: • Natural leader • Business orientation • Negotiation • Innovative thinking • Time consciousness • Attention to detail • Team player • The ability to work under pressure.
