PSI is seeking a Senior Forecasting & Analysis Officer in Procurement and Logistics to support its social marketing programs both at the field and Headquarters level to include a process of Systematic Forecasting for various health commodities (e.g. contraceptives, oral rehydration salts, insecticide-treated bed nets, antibiotics, vitamins, and micronutrients) and all related healthcare items. The Senior Officer is also responsible for the analysis of costs incurred across PSI to gather business data to better inform negotiations and create pricing models and forecasts. The Senior.Forecasting & Analysis Officer will report to the Senior Purchasing Manager, and will be based in Washington, D.C.

RESPONSIBILITIES: • Develop and implement Forecasting Strategy over various platforms. The incumbent would also be responsible towards capacity building in teams for forecasting • Liaise with various PSI field platforms and forecast product requirement over given period using various forecasting techniques and methodologies. • Liaise with various departments for market analysis and project requirement in justifying the requirement for ethical products. • Prepare and Provide analysis support to management including but not limited to cost/benefit analysis, opportunity/profit analysis. • Liaise with buyer team and platforms and manage/communicate demand changes and risks thereof. • Monitor various consumption patterns and take corrective steps in forecasting on periodic basis • Other responsibilities as per organizational need SKILL SET REQUIREMENT: • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple activities • Team Player with superior problem solving skills with an ability to anticipate operational issues, provide solutions and prepare needed risk assessments and matrixes • A self motivated individual • Strong Good statistical and analytical competency QUALIFICATIONS: • BA , preferably with economics as a major subject • At least 5-7 years of purchasing experience, comprising of 2-3 years of forecasting • Exposure/to and awareness of various forecasting methodologies, favorably to International School of Forecasters , • A desire to mentoring & guide team members • Experience in procurement of health commodities preferred • Working knowledge of public procurement regulations • Exceptional communication skills. • Strong computer skills. • Working knowledge of Spanish or French is highly desirable.
